Build Your Substack Side Hustle — In Just 4 Hours a Week

Is Chaos or Structure Fueling Your Creativity?

Let’s be honest—what kind of person are you?

Are you the chaotic creative who feels most inspired when everything’s a bit messy?

Or are you the organized type who loves structure but sometimes doubts your creativity?

Whichever it is, here’s what I believe: it doesn’t really matter.

Because there’s no “right” type of person when it comes to creating and planning.

I don’t believe in putting people into boxes.

What matters most is what works for you.

That’s also what I tell my German community when it comes to budgeting:

There’s no one-size-fits-all solution.

Every woman has to find the system that fits her life—and the same goes for your side hustle.

My goal is to give you tips, tools, and inspiration you can start with—and adapt as needed.

Whether it’s budgeting or building your newsletter, I want to help you find what works for you.

Personally, I love systems.

Since working with my husband in different brick-and-mortar businesses, I’ve learned how powerful they can be.

Systems help streamline the work—so you can focus on what really matters.

In our business back then, the most important part was selling.

Now, in my online business, it’s the creative part: writing, connecting, growing.

And a simple system supports me in doing that—without burning out.

It’s kind of like this:

When you travel, and your hotel is already booked, you don’t waste time searching.

You check in, unpack, and enjoy the trip.

That’s what a good system does—it gives you space to focus on what matters most.

Especially when your time is limited—as it often is when you’re a solopreneur—having a system makes all the difference.

But that’s just my perspective.

What about you?

Are you constantly struggling with time and consistency in your side hustle?

If so, maybe it’s time to change something in your workflow.

Because often the problem isn’t a lack of time—it’s a lack of planning.

And no, you don’t need to plan more.

You just need to plan it better—in a way that fits your life and is actually doable.

Believe me: the power isn’t in having more time.

It’s in using your time wisely—and staying committed to your plan.

I’m giving you a sneak peek into how I plan and create content.

Let it clear your mind like a gentle rain.

And if it speaks to you, try it out—make it your own and adapt it to your life as a creator.

✨ Your Challenge This Week: Know Your Creator Type + Test a System

1. Reflect:

Are you more of a chaotic creative or an organized planner?

(No shame in either—just notice what feels most like you.)

2. Observe:

How do you currently plan and create content?

What part feels messy, overwhelming, or simply missing?

3. Try This:

Test one of the tools I’ve shared this week (Post Template, Content Calendar, or Metrics Tracker).

Use it for just one day or one piece of content—and see how it feels.

Does it support your creativity or make things easier?

4. Adjust:

If something feels off, tweak it. Your workflow should work for you—not the other way around.

5. Optional Bonus Step:

Reply to this email and let me know:

→ What’s your creator type?

→ What planning tool helped you the most?

Cheers,

Katja
